1. About ListedOn

ListedOn (“ListedOn.ai”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates a business directory designed to structure and present business information in formats optimised for discovery by artificial intelligence (AI) engines, including but not limited to ChatGPT (OpenAI), Perplexity, Gemini (Google), Grok (xAI), Claude (Anthropic), and Microsoft Copilot.

By using our website, submitting a listing, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. What We Do

ListedOn provides a platform for businesses to create structured directory listings. We optimise these listings using industry-standard technical methods to maximise the likelihood that AI engines will discover, index, and reference the information when responding to relevant user queries. These methods include, but are not limited to:

  • Structured data markup using Schema.org (JSON-LD) on every listing page
  • Semantic HTML designed for machine readability
  • An llms.txt file following the emerging standard for AI model discovery
  • An open JSON API endpoint providing programmatic access to listing data
  • Static site generation (SSG) for fast, crawlable pages
  • Proper metadata, Open Graph tags, and sitemap generation

3. No Guarantee of AI Citation or Recommendation

This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it carefully.

While we employ best practices to structure and index your business information for AI discovery, we cannot and do not guarantee that any AI engine will cite, recommend, reference, or mention your business in response to any particular query or at all.

The decision of what information to include in AI-generated responses is made entirely by the AI engines themselves, using their own algorithms, training data, retrieval systems, and policies. We have no control over and no special relationship with any AI engine provider.

Specifically, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI responses are non-deterministic — the same query may produce different results at different times, for different users, or in different regions.
  • AI engines decide independently — whether an AI engine uses data from ListedOn (or any other source) is entirely at the discretion of that engine's operators and algorithms.
  • Indexing does not equal citation — even if an AI engine crawls and indexes our directory, it may choose not to reference your listing in its responses.
  • Training data has lag — AI models are trained periodically. There may be a delay of weeks or months between your listing being published and it potentially appearing in an AI model's knowledge.
  • The AI landscape is evolving — AI engines may change how they discover, evaluate, and use external data sources at any time, which may affect how or whether our listings are used.
  • We do not impersonate AI engines — any demonstrations, examples, or simulations on our website showing AI responses are illustrative only. They represent a realistic potential outcome, not a guaranteed result.

4. What We Guarantee

We do guarantee the following for all paid listings:

  • Your listing will be published on the ListedOn.ai directory with proper structured data (Schema.org JSON-LD)
  • Your listing will be included in our llms.txt file and JSON API endpoint
  • Your listing page will be statically generated and publicly accessible for crawling by any AI engine or search engine
  • We will maintain the technical infrastructure to keep your listing accessible and properly structured
  • We will keep up to date with emerging AI discovery standards and implement them as they become available

In short: we guarantee the structure, the indexing, and the visibility. We cannot guarantee what any third-party AI engine does with that information.

5. Listing Tiers

5.1 Free Listings

Free listings include the business name, category, location, and basic contact information. Free listings are included in the directory but with limited structured data. Free listings may be created by ListedOn using publicly available business information. Business owners may claim free listings at any time.

5.2 Pro Listings (£49/year)

Pro listings include full business information: description, services, key facts, use cases, full Schema.org structured data, inclusion in the llms.txt file, and API visibility. Pro listings are renewable annually.

5.3 Featured Listings (£99/year)

Featured listings include everything in Pro, plus priority placement within their category, a verified badge, and enhanced visibility in the directory. Featured listings are renewable annually.

6. Pre-Populated Listings and Claiming

ListedOn may create free listings using publicly available business information (such as company names, addresses, and business types from public registries or websites). These pre-populated listings are provided as a basic directory entry.

If your business has been listed without your request, you may:

  • Claim the listing — verify your ownership and take control of the listing content
  • Request removal — contact us at hello@listedon.ai and we will remove the listing within 5 working days

7. Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for ensuring that all information in your listing is accurate, up to date, and not misleading. We reserve the right to remove or modify any listing that contains false, misleading, offensive, or illegal content.

We are not liable for any inaccuracies in pre-populated free listings created from publicly available data. Business owners should claim and verify their listings to ensure accuracy.

8. Payment and Refunds

Paid subscriptions (Pro and Featured) are billed annually. Prices are displayed in GBP (£) and are exclusive of VAT where applicable.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid subscriptions. If you are not satisfied within 30 days of payment, contact us for a full refund. After 30 days, subscriptions are non-refundable for the remainder of the billing period.

9. Intellectual Property

By submitting a listing, you grant ListedOn a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, display, and distribute the listing content on our website, API, and related channels for the purpose of providing our directory service. You retain all ownership rights to your business information.

The ListedOn name, logo, website design, and proprietary technology are the property of ListedOn and may not be reproduced without written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ListedOn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our service, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of revenue or business arising from AI engines not citing or recommending your business
  • Inaccurate or outdated information in AI-generated responses referencing your listing
  • Changes to AI engine algorithms, policies, or data sourcing that affect visibility
  • Temporary unavailability of the ListedOn website or API

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid to ListedOn in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time. Your listing will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which it will revert to a free listing.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any listing that violates these terms, contains prohibited content, or is used for fraudulent purposes.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
